“To give your cow or sheep a large spacious meadow is to control him”
According to the Buddha’s Little Instruction Book, the best way to control something is to give them exactly what they require. I believe that when you restrict someone or something from doing what they naturally required to do, that’s when problems occur. When there are too many restrictions placed upon you, like fencing a large animal in a small place, it can lead to bad things happening. I take this to mean that we should be aware of who we are and our needs are in order to maintain a healthy balance.
