Caleb Henderson, Art creating the world, Assigned reading

Van Der Leeuw says that he doesn't accept the world as he sees it, but transforms it into his own world. What he means is people desire more than this world. That is similar to something I hear Christians say frequently. People often know there is a desire for more than this world provides, whether it is a untiy with Christ, or to get into heaven, or both. I think that there is beauty in this world, but our desire for more is sometimes to much to handle. The search for what we desire is a beautiful search in which we can pursue many different ways to satisfy that desire, and experience new things.
