“If he is not the one you want, walk away, he never will” – Californication
Almost every person who hears this knows the context; a women is in a relationship with a man, not happy and he will not change. People, especially females, have this absurd view of the world that they have the ability to change other people. Unfortunately for that person, but fortunately for the world, the world does not revolve around individual people. Typically things alter only slightly. This is extremely important for relationships because people are not going to change, and if they do for anyone but themself they will probably morph back to their original state eventually. This idea can also be applied to a much larger picture of beauty and truth. The world is full of both; I do not believe that they can ever be defined universally because they are so personal. A person knows when truth and beauty have been found because they generate adrenalin, happiness, butterflies and fulfillment. People need to find this truth, whether it is in their religion, music, or traveling; and viewing the beauties of the world. If a person is in a situation, such as an occupation, that they do not find any truth or beauty in, they need to leave it because it will generate either. This cannot easily be accomplished, because the black hole characteristics of money. There is always another option though. Relocating, new hobbies, volunteering or family could all potentially change a situation. A situation is not going to change for a person though. Life is so short that people should not waste time trying to change things that are out of their control and should walk away. Or simply change the independent variables that will move the dependent variables towards the final destination of truth and beauty.
