I had some difficulty coming up with something for my topic of choice, but finally came to a realization when my cousin came running into the room to tell me goodnight. I finally chose to briefly discuss babies and my fascination from conception to birth. With two new twin cousins on the way, I get really excited when the newest ultrasound pictures or doctor's appointments arise. When my youngest cousin, Sydney, was born, I had the privilege of being in the delivery room with my aunt. It was a long and drawn out process, but when it was finally time to push, I was amazed. When Sydney finally popped out, I was overwhelmed with tears at the sight of her. She was so tiny, so beautiful and so perfect.
How could somebody so perfect be formed from just a small pea sized entity? How do babies grow so rapidly in the womb? In just a short 39 weeks, major organs form, reflexes develop, and their brain has learned to recognize their own mother's voice, even though they have not physically seen her outside of the womb. I can't explain how it is physically possible for an egg to grow into a human being, but I have come to one simple conclusion to explain it all: God works in mysterious ways.
