Taylor Quinn, My Choice, Japanese Dancers and Play, 1/30/11

We watched a video of these Japanese dancers in a movie clip. The dancers do not speak and they seem to be acting out some horrific event. There is another scene of a Japanese man who seems to be overcome by something. The camera is focused totally on his face and it looks as if he is being possessed by a demon. The video is scary and horrifying. It seems so unfamiliar to us.

But Dr Redick told us that it is so horrifying to us not because it is so abnormal but because it is so normal and that it is not that we cannot identify with that but that we can identify with that. We have felt that within us and when we see that we recognize it we are horrified by it. That we a huge revelation to me because I know see that all of us are the same because each and every single one of us has felt the same emotions and we can recognize them within ourselves. This was only revealed to me through art.
