Julia Craig: Stadiums: Reenact~

On January 27th, we went over the structure of stadiums. Every aspect of a stadium is built for a specific reason and has its own function. It was very interesting to learn about how stadiums were formed to carry the voice of the speaker. I am studying abroad in Greece next fall, so I am very excited to see ancient stadiums and be able to know what everything is and its purpose. So often do people sit in stadiums and not even consider the significance of it all. Within those stadiums, reenactments often take place. Reenact can be split up into 3 sections: Re En Act. To act is to do something and to enact is to bring something forth so to reenact is to do it again. Someone can enact an emotion so to reenact an emotion would be to bring back those emotions. Ironically to reproduce is to actually create another. It is not making a copy of it because to reenact is art. Art and ritual reproduce, they do not copy.
