Subject: Art isn’t still
Topic of my choice

Many people think monuments are erected to be seen but do not hold the time. Do to this absence of time, monuments are said to be invisible. I chose topic as it considered art in a new way, as being invisible because it lacks time. To me, this idea detracts from the power of art, suggesting that it does not have the ability to be seen as a moment in time but rather a representation of that moment. This relates to the course theme of experiencing art, participating with it, and becoming involved with its essence. Here, claims art is invisible and is incapable of depict the essence of a natural thing that exists in time. I don’t find this idea compelling though. We are able to experience art if we participate with it rather than just observing it. There is time in these experiences and thus gives the art a value of realness and time itself.
