Drummond Dawson - Topic of Choice #1

Having discussed the Camino on Tuesday, the 12, and Thursday, the 14, brought some memories. 2008 was a long time ago. My memory has never been a good one but pictures definitely aid the process of piecing back occurrences that happened. It was also interesting to hear specific artworks, that I viewed with my own eyes and had my own opinions about, talked by someone who is scholarly. The things that I missed out amazed me. For instance one of the church had a golden display, the thought never occurred to me that the gold used to construct it probably came from Aztec sources. Even though I was a freshman at the time, I did sense great spirituality on the trip. Walking alone for hours, which did not happen all the time but did occur, definitely gives me plenty of time to reflect on many things. However the artwork I experienced, outside the beautiful landscape, lazy lifestyle, and villages, did not cross my mind in ways as it does now.
