Drummond Dawson - Required Reading #2
Beginning of the Holy Words chapter on page 115, I found an interesting German proverb, "If there's no song while it's brewing, the beer won't be good." This saying especially sparked my interest because not only do I love beer, I love good beer. If a work song has the ability to empower something, beer included, where does this source come from? The force from words that contains a rhythm seems to strengthen the atmosphere. A wise saying is more powerful through the use of rhythm and meter. Energy from the words in the song is focused, in this case brewing beer, and then released to make a product that is better than without the use of work song. Hopefully the singers are not drunk or else the brewing will just be a disaster regardless of the words spoken, which are probably incomprehensible when they sing.
