Search for Beauty part 1: So since this class is called “Search for Beauty,” I decided to do just that. I went to Google Images and typed in “beauty.” I wasn’t really that surprised when all the images that appeared were pictures of people. There were no pictures of paintings, or sculptures, or even landscapes (which is the first thing that pops into my head when I think of true beauty). I thought it was interesting that we as humans seem to think so highly of ourselves. Perhaps it was just an internet thing but I think this says a lot about the philosophy of our time. We seem to place more of a value on personal aesthetics than we do on natural or creative beauty. Since much of the class has been centered on art, I decided to also type “art” into Google and see where that took me. I again found it interesting when Google decided to tell me where I could “find art” in
