Judgment v Sentiment; Judgment more rational in nature and sentiment is feeling. All sentiment is right! No sentiment is about any particular object, its the reality about whats happening in me. But all determinations of the understanding are not right; because they have a reference to something beyond themselves, to wit, real matter of fact; and are not always conformable to that standard (p 42). Poetry must be confined by rules of art. The feelings of men don't always go in accordance with the rules.
