Michelle Ward- Traffic

I cannot even begin to express the frustration I had today, traveling home for Easter. I left school at 1:30, hoping to make it home by 4:30. Home, in Northern Virginia. Usually a very easy task to complete with that timeline. But NO! I did not pull into my driveway until 7:45. That's right! Seven: Forty- Five. What, a downer. While it puts me in a great mood to make a new CD for the drive. That new CD reallllllly loses its sparkle after 6 hours and 15 minutes of repetition. Let's not even get into the fact that radio stations are really slacking these days.
Why must VDOT insist on making improvements to 495, the National Beltway, during the holiday season? hmmm? Uncalled for.
Speaking of the holiday season. My dad always refers to traffic as holiday traffic. Yes, dad. When you are traveling right before Thanksgiving, the traffic can be associated with the holidays. But not on October 9h. I'm not aware of that many Leif Erikson Day celebrations. Let's just say there is no correlation here.
